I have always loved fabric. I've always loved PLAYING with fabric. I was sewing Barbie clothes and outfits for My Friend Jenny before there were American Girls to play with. My grandmother is a Farmer's Wife and has always quilted by hand. My mom, raised on a farm in Illinois, made clothes to wear to dances or parties when she was young and taught Home Economics at a small university close to our home growing up. I had crafty people around me and couldn't help taking an interest in creating things with my hands.
I live in a little town just beyond the Northwest suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. I have a husband who doesn't question my fabric "collection" and 2 daughters that enjoy being crafty with their own ideas.
For years I have handmade little things to give away to friends and family and after some inspiration and encouragement from a friend I thought that Etsy would be a great place to share fabric with others while getting to sew and be creative at the same time.
I have Doe Street Fabrics a shop that sells designer fabrics, as well as Pink Wagon Studio where I have handmade pieces of clothing for babies and little girls.
I don't think it can get any better than this.
